Wates and the Council have worked closely with the Guildford community and local stakeholders throughout and would like to thank all of those who took in our consultation, which has now closed.

The planning application has now been approved by Guildford Borough Council.

Public consultation

Three public consultation events were hosted in March and April 2025 across Guildford to maximise the awareness of the proposals.

Our first pop-up event was held at The Rotunda in the centre of Guildford, giving the team the opportunity to speak with Guildford residents on a busy Saturday, introducing the plans and taking initial feedback.

A second drop-in was hosted the following week at the University of Surrey Student Union during their student market event. This allowed for further engagement with a younger Guildford demographic.

Finally, the team held a full in-person consultation event at Grace Church, close-by to the Guildford Park Road Car Park site.

We would like to thank all of those who attended the events and shared their feedback. All feedback has been taken on board and helped to influence our approved scheme.
